Evie Ferguson’s Gift
Seven year old Evie Ferguson went through her neighborhood putting up signs to let people know she was selling vegetables from her family garden. When the day was done her profit was $ 54.00. She still had vegetables left, so the next day she headed down to Manna Meal Soup Kitchen and handed the left over vegetables and an envelope addressed to Manna Meal, enclosed was the $ 54.00.
God Bless you Evie, we all can learn from you.

Too often, our guests arrive cold and weary from sleeping outdoors, sitting up all night in public waiting rooms, or tossing restlessly in poorly heated and insecure accommodations. Too often, our large dining area is noisy and filled to overflowing. Yet it is a lifeline to many people who find themselves with nowhere else to turn.
